My name is Laraine Cutteridge. I am 45 years old and married with 3 children.
My husband and I have been married for 16 years and we run our own business in the Cambridgeshire Fens.
We live on a farm (although we have diversified) and have a little menagerie including Alpaca’s and llamas.
My Dad was a police officer for 30 years and I have always had an interest in the forces.
My hobbies include researching my family tree, reading and walking.
I have also suffered with mental health, recently having therapy (privately) which helped me immensely. My therapist is also a former serviceman. I am proud to be British and proud of all our service men and women.
Part of my therapy is walking and I go for walks when I take my boys swimming (me time), so I thought I would like to do something that not only helps me but can help others too.
I climbed to the summit of Snowdon in October after quitting 2/3 of the way up 2 years ago and the thing that stuck in my head was something that the SAS Who Dares Wins cast have said “Your mind will give in before your body”.
So here I am taking on the Ultra challenge Thames trek.
