My name is Christian, I'm 47 and work as a Ranger in Cumbria.
On the 30th of May I'll be joining the R2R team and my good friend Dean Burchell for a tab up Ben Nevis with the aim of raising as much money for an incredible charity.
R2R have smashed 'old school' stereotypes within the armed and front line services helping those that most need it, as well as those that are being held back by their time in service plagued by their demons interfering with daily life, stifling their true potential.
Having carried a burgen of 'stuff' for decades, I can safely say that addressing it, understanding it, processing it and learning how to live with it is a hard but essential journey leading to a moment just like taking that burgen off at the end of a forced march.
This is why I am looking forward to this event, (not only catching up with Dean, a former Royal Marine who helped me immensely during my darker days), but also hopefully the Scaffell Pike climb later in the year to raise awareness and much needed support for such a crucial and much needed charity for all our former and serving personnel.
Please show your support and get involved in anyway you can, and thank you for taking the time to read this 🙏
