My name is Chantal, I am a farm animal vet based in Derbyshire. 3 years ago I came across some of the bravest and most inspiring people on a course I attended. Many of these had been helped by R2R and had picked themselves up from the darkest holes and were now helping others.
This led to me deciding to give a little back to these people by trying to raise some money for the charity which helped them. The 1st event was in Wales back in 2019, following the Fan Damce route. The next event was meant to be going up Ben Nevis in early 2020. Since then we have had a tough time with lots of rules and isolation from friends and family. The work and support offered by R2R is more necessary now than ever.
I completed Ben Nevis last month and I plan to do Snowdon followed by Scafell and Kinder to complete the trilogy.
Rock2recovery’s mission is to save and change the lives of those in our Armed Forces, our Veteran Community, Emergency Services and their families who are affected by stress. Their approach is to inspire, coach and motivate towards a more positive future.
The work they do is phenomenal and the effect it has on people's lives cannot be overstated.
Shockingly this vital service is a charity and not funded by the government. This means they rely solely on the goodwill of others to keep doing their amazing work.
Many have already sponsored me via the main page for which I am very grateful. If anyone else could spare something that would be superb.
