Good photo ay? Heh!
Biography - right - applied for Royal Marines at the prehistoric age of 30, denied entry on medical grounds. Took that a bit hard as I'd been training hard.
Got myself back together and applied for royal engineers, about a month from going in, met me now wife at a motorbike rally - decided against going in for various reasons. Later on, turns out I required an operation to remove half my right lung - don't panic. It's fully healed and stretched back (lungs are stretchy body parts).
However trying to get in the territorials with that on me medical records was impossible through not being able to contact me doctor! Magic.
I'm an active family man, a guitarist, indoor climber (looking to go onto rock eventually), run, circuit training, some weights and bodyweight.
I Am currently out of action due to being blown off a scaffold tower in last high winds, am on the mend, am booked in for 220foot abseil down Canonteign waterfalls raising funds for RMA - the Royal Marines charity on May 14th. I've been saying to my wife that I want to do something for the forces for a few years. It's time for me to stop saying, and get on with it! Family and work life is normally busy - but it's gotta be done.
I want to take part in the canoe through Ross on Wye.
Think I might have exhausted me mates and family for sponsorship with the RMA!
If so, I'll fund the canoe challenge myself!
