Paul Webb - 150,000 KG July Challenge
In 2021, after nearly a year of having to work from home due to the pandemic, I decided to join my local gym to help with both my physical and mental health. A year on I had some good results with my fitness but a knee operation and a very recent Covid infection, effected my motivation, so I decided to set myself a gym-based challenge.
The challenge is to move over 150,000 Kg (150 Tonnes) of weights in the month of July! Given that I’m an old and VERY broken ex-rugby player, who now works behind a desk, this will be a big challenge for me, especially fitting in rest days as well as other training such as cardio, so using this as a way to raise money for charities should give me the added inspiration.
The two charities I will be supporting are-
- Macmillan Cancer Support- Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 this figure will rise to 4 million.
Macmillan help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. They do whatever it takes, no matter what a person's needs are, we will listen and support them however they need - big or small.
-
Rock 2 Recovery- Our mission is to save and change the lives of those in our Armed Forces, our Veteran Community, the Emergency Services and their families who are affected by stress. Our purpose is to inspire and coach towards a more positive future.

I would like to have donations shared equally between the two so please donate accordingly?
