Josh Chamberlain
My name is Joshua Chamberlain, I am 24 years old and I am serving in the Army.
In 2019 I got diagnosed with Crohns and Colitis disease. Since then I have tried to push myself harder and further more than ever to show people that no matter who you are, you can achieve so much more than you would ever believe is possible and to not give up when the going gets tough.
October 2020 I set out to run 26 marathons in 26 consecutive days wearing a Bergan weighing 26 lbs to raise money and awareness for the Crohns and Colitis UK Charity. This was also to show people that even when having being diagnosed with Crohns and Colitis, you can still do more than you believe your body has potential to do. I successfully completed 16 marathons in 16 consecutive days before tearing my right Quad. Resulting in not walking for 2 weeks.
Thanks to KB Sports Therapy, they got more back up and running in no time.
Now I am training to TAB 100 Miles in 30 hours, wearing military kit and carrying a Beragn weighing 36 lbs, all to raise money and awareness for Rock2Recovery.
Mental health is a rising concern these days so with everyone's fantastic support and kind donations, we can make a difference.
